Democracy Not Autocracy

The most important issue of our time is whether we will continue as a nation to be a democratic republic or slide into authoritarianism, giving up our cherished freedoms in favor of deferring to a strongman president and a small cabal of elite supporters. As Americans, we fought for our freedom and have defended it ever since from those who would subjugate us to their control. This time the threat comes from within the house. We must stand now and vote when we can as patriots to firmly aver that we are for democracy and not autocracy.
