Love Street Flyers

These are some of the flyers I created for Love Street Light Circus and Feel Good Machine from 1968 to 1970. It was the premiere psychedelic nightclub in Houston, Texas. Love Street featured bands like The 13th Floor Elevators, Johnny Winter, The Children, Shivas Head Band, Bubble Puppy, Shayde, Ginger Valley, Moving Sidewalks and yes the very first ever ZZ Top concert. The venue highlighted mind-expanding music accented with Go Go Girls, strobe lights and psychedelic light show projections by Jelly Wall Eyes Pack. I was “The Wizard” and a member of the light show crew. The historic Sunset Coffee Building on Commerce at Main Street at Allen’s Landing, which housed the nightclub on its third floor, is still standing. Love Street's last show was on June 6, 1970.
