Planet Saturn’s Moon Titan

Titan is the largest of Saturn’s 7 moons and has a dense atmosphere with evidence of liquid hydrocarbon lakes on its surface of ice and rock. The atmosphere is primarily nitrogen with methane and ethane clouds. Only Jupiter’s moon Ganymede is larger. Titan was discovered in 1655 by the Dutch astronomer Christiaan Huygens. This image of Titan was acquired by the NASA Cassini spacecraft during it’s last 3 Titan flybys.
