Space Butterfly Nebula

It’s a star nursery located 1,400 light years from the Sun. This nebula, or giant gas cloud and dust has two wings of hot interstellar gas that glow in the shape of a butterfly. This beautiful cosmic image of the W40 nebula was captured by the NASA Spitzer Space Telescope in infrared wavelengths.
