Zebra Iris

This design is based on a painting of Zebra Iris foliage by me. After a long winter when the snow melts and the ground warms up a little, these appear with very attractive striped leaves. Their colors include creamy yellow and shades of green that deepen into sea green. Their shape is sword-like and bold in appearance, making them a great subject for painting. Although they bear flowers later, the leaves themselves are so delightful that they deserve to be captured into a painting!
