Tree Trunk in Lush Moss - Canvastryck

This autumn moment was captured towards the end of a walk in the woods. The woodland stillness took over with each close look at the moss flourishing on the richly matured bark of the resting tree among the seasonally golden leaves. LOCATION: Ashford Warren and Hoads Wood is a 34.5-hectare (85-acre) open woodland and nature reserve north of Ashford in Kent, the Garden of England, in the United Kingdom. This site features a ‘relic’ wood pasture with veteran trees and a nationally rare acid grassland, situated adjacent to two major roads and the rapid urban development of Ashford, as well as a railway line that passes through it. Ashford Warren & Hoads Wood is owned by the Ashford Borough Council and is managed by the conservation charity, Kent Wildlife Trust. The forest shares part of its name with the nearby Hoads Wood SSSI. However, Hoads Wood is not managed by KWT.
