Edgar Degas

Hilaire Germain Edgar Degas is a famous French impressionist artist and sculptor who is perhaps best known for his paintings of dancers. Although Degas is considered an Impressionist artist, he apparently thought of his style as more of a realist. In addition to his gorgeous light-filled paintings and sculptures of dancers, he also produced many works that depict nature as well as everyday chores and routines.
