Spotted Mountain Fritillary Flower with Dew Drops

This vivid wildflower has nodding flowers of purple burgundy with yellow spots, and is native to the western United States. With the scientific name Fritillaria atropurpurea, it has many common names, including Spotted Fritillary, Leopard Lily, Checker Lily, Mountain Fritillary, Purple Fritillary, Spotted Fritillary, and Spotted Mountain Bells.
