Vintage Botanical Illustrations - Gottorfer Codex

Vintage botanical illustrations from The Gottorfer Codex, a four-volume book commissioned by Duke Frederic III of Schleswig-Holstein to document the flowers and plants growing in the gardens of Gottorf Castle in Germany. The illustrations were painted by Hans Simon Holtzbecker between 1649 and 1659, and have been digitally cleaned and enhanced to resemble watercolors.
