Living as a feminine gay man in the hyper masculine and heteronormative south, Johnson has dedicated his artistic practice too exploring themes of identity, sexuality, and the body. He is working with film photography and oil portraiture to bring representation to the marginalized members of the LGBTQ community. When he is not making art, Johnson enjoys drag shows, pop music, and spending time with his cat, Matisse.
