Julian Raven is a contemporary artist. He was born in Richmond Upon Thames, London, raised in Marbella, on the Mediterranean in Southern Spain. Raven now lives in Elmira, New York with his wife and 3 children. On September 17, 2015 Julian Raven became a New Born Citizen of the United States. Coincidently he was already working on the Trump painting 'Unafraid And Unashamed' which was just unveiled on November 1st, 2015. It has been a long creative journey for me. Painting 'Unafraid and Unashamed' has been life changing! It started on July 9th, 2015. Now months later, the painting has been unveiled. It now has a life all of its own. A life that only art can have and give. The power of art really is unmatched in its ability to communicate (A picture says a 1000 words) emotionally move and inspire us by a static image packed with meaning. 'Unafraid And Unashamed' Is a highly symbolic painting with layers of symbolism behind every element within the painting. The symbolism creates a depth of experience that transcends the beauty of the image on a surface level to the deepest depths of the human soul. Those symbols are sometimes obvious but many times not.
