Abuela_Raquel

Abuela Raquel came the United States from Cuba in the 1940s and faced many challenges starting a new life here with her two young children. Many of her greatest lessons of her more than 100 years have been captured in her artwork, which she created to show her appreciation for the beauty of the world around her. Together with her granddaughter Elizabeth, these paintings and valuable lessons have been turned into functional art for everyday use. We welcome you to bring some of these timeless treasures into your home as a reminder to appreciate the beauty of life and the world around us.
