The Art of Jack Adamson

Adamsonarts showcases the original artwork and paintings of <strong>Jack Adamson, Master Mariner and Canadian Marine Artist,1920 to 1992,</strong> <br><br> Jack's paintings encompassed a broad range of subjects from seascapes, landscapes, portraits and still life during his lifetime, but his main passion was the sea and the tall ships that sailed in them.<br><br> Working tall ships hauling jute, tea and wool, clipper ships, general traders, barquentines, with names like Old Kensington, Collingwood, British Merchant, Ariel, Salamis, Oberon, Thessalus and Garfield. A few of these sailing ships retired gracefully but most met tragedy at sea or at home. Weather, marine hazards, fire and war among other fates happened often to these magnificent tall ships.<br><br>The store also features designs by this son, Kerr Adamson.
