I am 41 years old and live in a small suburb on the North-Western side of Atlanta, Georgia. I have always had an interest in art and began to discover what a good friend art could be in my teenage years. I have never had the opportunity to pursue much training in the area of my art. I honestly owe a lot of what I have learned to the television broadcasts of PBS, Bob Ross and Jerry Yarnell. Without those influences my technique would be much more rudimentary than it is today. I owe the majority of my current body of work to an off hand New Years resolution a couple of years ago when I decided to pick up my paints and brushes again after decades of neglect. I vowed to complete 1 new painting per week for the year. In that first year I only missed 2, creating 50 new works. Many of those didn't make the cut to become my favorites, but the practice was invaluable. Ever since then I have made a best effort to keep up the pace. I am not always successful in my endeavor as many of life's responsibilities can get in the way. But when I can paint, I find a place that makes me feel like a kid again. I hope you will find some of my work to be both pleasing to the eye and soul.
