Occasionally Made Designs

I'm a mother to two beautiful kids, Bentley and Kennedy, which is my most rewarding and important "job." I've been married to my best friend for three years. I received a design degree from Texas Tech University and worked as a commercial interior designer after graduation. Occasionally Made began after my engagement in 2012...I just didn't know it. Wedding planning began immediately, as most brides know. I began designing countless invitations, save the dates, programs...you name it, I made it. I'm not sure if I was indecisive or I was loving my new hobby, but I just kept designing. Well, we said "I do," we moved, and I began my interior design career. Spare time became scarce and this hobby became nonexistent! Soon after our wedding, we got the best news that I was pregnant. I continued to work for the next nine months until Bentley came into the world. I couldn't imagine sending my baby and an entire pay check to daycare, so my husband and I decided that I could stay home. Wanting to contribute to the finances, I started piddling around with the invitation thing again. Since clearly babies were on my brain, I started with birth announcements, shower invitations, etc. I put these designs online and did pretty well. Before I knew it, my "baby" was approaching his first birthday. Then birthdays were on my mind, so I designed invitations, milestone posters, decorations, etc. By this time, I had a pretty great following, and my "little" hobby had exploded. In March 2016, we had Miss Kennedy, and the design cycle repeated. I've now made both children's baby shower invites, birth announcements, milestone posters, and birthday decor, which can be found in my shop. So feel confident in your purchases, knowing that I wouldn't sell anything that I wouldn't proudly use for my kids!
