In the 70's my father switched from racing TR4s and TR250s to a BMW 2002. It was great for time distance rallies. He later met an Alpina mechanic who was sent from Germany to bring Alpina to the US. Together they built the "first" Alpina 2002 in the US. This started a families obsession with BMW. He later bought an E30 which was supped up by Metric Mechanic. I followed suit and my first BMW was an E30 325es. Later I would own a E36 325i, a '81 735, and now my current driver, an E46 M3. From BMWs history in DTM to its everyday joy to drive its inspiration drives the artwork!
