CJ Fox Art Studio photographing, drawing, and painting nature "Art for the Heart". Welcome to my Zazzle Shop!! I am Carmen Fox, a photograher, artist and all around nature observer and avid conservationist. "Art for the Heart" is inspired by my own life struggles with complex PTSD from childhood trauma and using art as a therapy tool. In many of my drawings, paintings, and other works you will find a "heart" somewhere in the piece. Sometimes, the hearts are hidden and other times it is bright as day. In 2018 I dropped a high paying job, several community volunteer groups that I was apart of, and anything that was causing me stress as I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The stress was real and my family was paying for the stress. At one point I realized that if I am not healthy mentally, spirtitually and physically that in turn my family isn't healthy. I, of course, couldn't have done this without my Husband's support. I call the year 2018 "the purge", 2019 the year of "healing" and so far 2020 has been the year of the "awakening" as I pursue my lifetime dream of being an artist. I have always been a person who enjoys being outdoors observing birds, plants, bugs, butterflies, bees and other creatures and then trying to capture them on paper with my camera, pen, pencil or brush. I am a lifetime believer that we as humans are the conservationists of this earth and it is our job to leave it better than when we arrived.
