Definitely Not Hallmark was an idea born into conception between a friend and I when talking about life & its struggles, in particular, relationships. Some relationships end as a mutual "agreement," (& I use that word loosely), between 2 people who realize that their time together was only for a season. Other times relationships end badly. It could be due to anything from one person simply outgrowing the other, emotional or physical abuse, or someone cheating & finding love & comfort from someone outside of the relationship. Some people can move on gracefully. Just let go & be done with it. Others have to find an outlet to let go of that pinned-up rage or emotion before they can move on. It can be frustrating to have so much to say, but yet, still be unable to put your thoughts into words. There are many sentiments put down on paper, expressing a wide range of emotions. I'm sure we all, at some point, have bought cards, mementos, poems or gifts that said "just the right thing" for that special someone in our lives. But what about the times when we don't want to be so nice? Or the times when we DON'T want to say "just the right thing" so that the OTHER person will feel better about themselves, while WE are still frustrated & miserable? We decided we needed a market for those types of sentiments, those types of raw emotions. That's where we come in.
