My name is Kristie, and my husband is Jack. We are at the very beginning of our farmstead adventure, and are both newbies when it comes to farming, construction, and homestead life. We live on one acre in the middle of a neighborhood, in the middle of nowhere. We have set ourselves a challenge: if we can turn a portion of our acre into a mini-farm, and still enjoy it, we will consider transitioning to a larger piece of land to expand. Since we are starting from nothing (including knowledge or experience), we have quite a bit to learn. So far it's been pretty hilarious.
