Geek the Library

Geek the Library is a community-based public awareness campaign designed to highlight the vital role of public libraries and raise awareness about the critical funding issues they face. The campaign introduces the word ‘geek’ as a verb and draws attention to the fact every individual is passionate about something and anyone can learn more about what they geek—what they are passionate about—at the public library. The campaign is sponsored by OCLC, a nonprofit library cooperative, and supported by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The campaign will not support or oppose any candidate for public office, nor attempt to influence legislation.
