The Sun and Surf Shop

Welcome to The Sun and Surf Shop! This shop is dedicated to the sun, waves, surfers, cool girls with colorific hair, the beach, and summer in general. I am an abstract artist originally from California by way of New Mexico and I am now living in the beach resort town of Pichilemu on the central coast of Chile. My husband and I bought a cute, little beach house with a fabulous, unobstructed view of the South Pacific, which makes the ocean is a constant in my visual world. And so it follows that it is reflected and expressed in my vibrant drawings. With the exception of my surfer series which are for the most part painted with acrylics on canvas, my other artworks are all drawn with colored pencils. Color motivates me to draw. I enjoy the happy lift I get when I draw with bright, high intensity colors and place them next to other equally vivid colors to create stimulating, uplifting vibrations. Everyone seems to smile when they see my drawings. It is as if the lush colors are healing in some way. With this in mind, the prints, posters, calendars, and mousepads are wonderful additions to office and work environments. The greeting cards are fabulous to send to someone going through a rough time or who is ill. Some of the most fun gifts and products in my store are the tote bags and Keds shoes for women and girls. The bags all have one of my vibrant designs and come in various sizes and colors, which you can choose, and you can add text if you want. The Keds are comfortable and colorful and fun to wear all year. They come in lots of interesting color combinations that look great with jeans as well as sweats and shorts and skirts. And, they match a tote bag or two. If you have a business, you can add your business information to any of the products with which to promote your business.
