I'm an Irish artist/designer living and working in Dublin. I love working with colour, texture and pattern. The designs I've used on my products here are from my abstract works which I created using the medium of molten beeswax. I work mainly with a hotplate, where I melt the wax directly onto the encaustic card and then using a variety of tools work into the wax to create patterns. I then take the card off the hotplate and finish it off by adding detail work with an electric stylus. The resulting work can be very detailed and textured and looks very much like tapestry which makes it an ideal medium to transfer to fabrics.
