Jolijou's designs are characterized by bold, bright colors and bold patterns. They have a nostalgic touch and often reflect motifs from times past. Jolijou products are colorful, convey joie de vivre and are sometimes minimalistic, sometimes colorful, but always with a certain wink of the eye. Jolijou is the work of the illustrator Andrea Mueller, who has been creative since childhood and whose talent for colors, textures and patterns was virtually laid in her cradle by her grandmother, who was a seamstress. She grew up in Australia, and spent long intervals living in Berlin, Potsdam and Munich. These many stations of her childhood have shaped her and are also reflected in her designs. Her strong sense of humor and passion for color are reflected in all her designs. She is most drawn to the beauty and wonder of nature and loves to stylize natural shapes and transform them into colorful patterns. At jolijou, we believe the world is gray enough as it is, so we like to add a splash of color with our products, to bring out your inner child and put a smile on your face.
