Optical Meditations

My name is Ron Nilson. I'm a retired graphic artist / account representative / corporate trainer living in Michigan. Art and spirituality have been at the core of my life experience, having studied art and psychology in college, and then going on for an MA in theology. After a brief time working in campus ministry, I ran the graphics department for a community mental health agency before moving on to other opportunities. Though not significantly involved with any organized religion after leaving the ministry, I continued to immerse myself in spiritual philosophies and practices. As a result of that inquiry, I learned about the various holistic health modalities being practiced around the world. Then, several years ago I was privileged to be initiated as a Reiki master. That connection is what inspired me to start designing mandalas, a spiritual art form which has long held my fascination. In addition to the mandalas, other meditative designs and Reiki-themed items are being worked into the collection. Thanks for stopping by. I welcome comments, questions and suggestions.
