Path_To_Bantry_Music

Path to Bantry is an independent electronic alternative band from Palmer, Alaska. Born of the collective creative efforts of sister and brother duo Riley Blankenship, an independent filmmaker, and Cooper Rae Blankenship, the multi-instrumentalist and producer behind Blue Owl. The two formed the band in 2019, inspired by nostalgia for the late-2000s indie electronic sounds of Owl City, Lights, and Swimming with Dolphins; contemporary blogwave bands like CHVRCHES; and contemporary pop-rock artists like OneRepublic and the Script. ​ When searching for the right name, the pair was inspired by Bantry Bay in south County Cork, in Ireland: a peaceful place on the Sheep's Head Peninsula with quiet ambience and striking vistas.
