Welcome to my Zazzle store! My journey into art began in the winter of 2011, inspired by a heartfelt need to express my condolences to a friend who had lost the love of his life. Having lost my own wife a year earlier, I understood his pain deeply. To honor her love for all things Japanese, I created a unique tribute using origami paper. This project marked the beginning of a new chapter for me. I used to be a Nuclear Medicine Physician, trained at UCLA and worked in Santa Monica and Dubai. My life took an unexpected turn when my wife passed away in 2010, leaving me to care for our autistic son alone. This loss forced me to reinvent myself. I found solace in art. Over the past decade, I've embraced the transformative power of creativity. My art, especially my origami paintings, reflects this journey of self-discovery and resilience. The lotus flower is a central theme in my work, symbolizing the beauty and strength that arise from adversity. Just as the lotus emerges from the mud to bloom, my art is a testament to the strength and growth that come from life's challenges. Thank you for visiting my store.
