It can be hard to start a conversation about politics with friends, family, and neighbors. But politics won't make any progress if we don't talk to each other about our issues. After making politically oriented magnets on Zazzle and putting them on my fridge, they became a conversation piece that generated constructive and even comical conversations that allowed my friends to share their political concerns with one another openly. Once in a while, we even found ourselves able to reach some common ground.
