Born and brought up in Kenya, East Africa in a family of nature, wildlife and art lovers, I now find myself very much one of them. On leaving Kenya following its independence in 1963, the family moved to its roots in southern Ireland. Later on I moved to England where I was involved with vineyards and wine, and after dabbling in winemaking soon became a professional. For 20 years my life was making wine in the UK as well as in several countries around the world - what a life it was, and the tasting was good too! Once I left the wine industry, I wanted to pursue my other interests so returned to Ireland once again, where I now write about wine, art and my new passion of photography. With some family members who are graphic designers and others artists, I have always been interested in the arts, but lacked the time to pursue any of them. Living in a beautiful part of the world, I now love nothing more than getting outdoors and indulging in some landscape photography or ocassionally shooting flowers and insects in macro. Despite often putting up with the soft Irish showers, nothing dampens the photography enthusiasm.
