"Artwork: Good for What Ails Me" is the artist's statement I coined because I primarily create works of art and take photographs as a form of therapy. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I use art to enhance my life and to express myself and whatever I may be feeling at the time. Creating art is one thing that helps me survive and gives my life purpose. Selling my work is a way to help me supplement the monthly check I receive from Social Security because of my mental illness and an inability to hold down a regular job.
