Products in SGTArtMerch feature the original artwork of artist, Shelley Graham Turner, who primarily works in the style of the abstract expressionist of the 40'sand 50's. Her favorite artist is Franz Kline, a member of the New York School, who created in bold strokes of mainly black and white. Many of Shelley's paintings begin in his style of larger gestural strokes and markmaking, before covering in layers of color and texture. Along with Kline she is also drawn to his peers, Jackson Pollack, Joan Mitchell and Willem de Kooning - all major figures of the style, sometimes also referred to as action painting.
