I started painting on canvas on March 1, 2016. It wasn’t long before that, that I could not draw a straight line or paint anything other than solid walls. However, in 2010-11, I had six strokes followed by dozens of TIAs (transient ischemic attacks) caused by migraines and a unique developmental defect in the arteries in the right side of my brain. This ruined my typing, and sometimes makes it difficult for me to find the right word, but I think it is what enabled me to do art.
