Hi! My name is Mary Barbee, and I am the CEO and founder of The Single Mompreneur. I started this company with a dream to help other single moms take their lives by storm and find the same freedom and stability that I have found as an entrepreneur. A little bit about me: I am a single mom of two beautiful daughters, and I have been a single mom for most of their lives (even when I was officially married!). My oldest graduated from college last year – that was one of the most moving days of my life! – and she actually works by my side as my assistant now. I am honestly living the dream! My youngest daughter is just entering 11th grade, and is also smart as a whip. I am pretty sure she will be an uber-successful entrepreneur one day…of course, after she finishes college. And, it just wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t include that I am also a mom of two sweet chihuahua pups (rescue pets that found their way into my home and my heart). On a professional level, I am a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur. I walked away from a corporate job that I hated over 7 years ago, and I have never looked back. I have experience owning both service businesses and businesses that sold products. I have started businesses on a shoe-string budget, and have successfully grown them into income producing machines. It’s my mission in life (seriously) to inspire other single moms like you to take the leap into a world like mine, shrugging off the chains of the traditional 9-5 that doesn’t pay you enough, that doesn’t appreciate you, and that certainly doesn’t understand the value of family and the importance of quality family time.
