Hi there, welcome to TheJoeyStudio. My name is Joseph D'silva and I am a Watercolor Artist from Vancouver, Canada. I have been drawing and painting since I was a kid. With a few years of Art school I was able to fine tune my skills in various drawing and painting mediums giving me a chance to explore different subject matters. My love for Watercolor Painting actually started when I was in university where I spent my weekends painting outdoors mostly landscapes and architecture. This gave me plenty of time to explore the watercolor medium and also helped to build my observation of the subjects I was painting. This led to the fascination of travel for me as I needed to go onsite to paint but in recent years I have had less and less time to paint outdoors due to busy work schedules as a full-time designer which now only leaves me with painting in my free time. Travel and Watercolor painting has some what always interested me. Through my watercolor paintings I can be at that place, imagine the atmosphere, the sounds, the air, the light and shade and it is through this experience I give everyone a chance to feel what I am feeling. Maybe I am bringing back memories of a time and place where you might have been. Most of my work is of places and famous destinations around the world.
