Zummi_Energy

Welcome to Zummi_Energy. For most of my life, I believed I couldn't paint. It was one of those stories I carried for so long that I never questioned it. Somewhere along the way, I had accepted the idea that artistic talent belonged to other people, not to me. Then one day, I picked up a watercolor brush and simply tried. To my surprise, I discovered that the story wasn't true. I wasn't someone who couldn't paint. I was someone who had never actually tried. That experience became a gentle reminder that many of the limitations we place on ourselves are often just stories - old beliefs, childhood messages, other people's opinions, or fears we have repeated so often that they begin to feel like facts. For more than twenty years, I worked internationally evaluating peacebuilding, humanitarian, and development programs. That work took me across different countries, cultures, and communities, always searching for what helps people thrive and what creates positive change. When major changes in the international aid sector unexpectedly slowed much of my consulting work, I found myself standing at another crossroads. Like many people, I began searching for what should come next. But perhaps life was offering a different lesson. Instead of trying to force the future into a particular shape, I began learning to meet each moment as it is. To paint, write, observe, notice beauty, pay attention. To trust that life unfolds in its own way. The artwork and products in Zummi_Energy are expressions of that journey. They are small reminders to pause, breathe, appreciate the present moment, and remain open to possibilities we may not yet see.
